We have recently upgraded our embossing processes which means we can now offer new modern, contemporary fonts as a standard embossing option (previously called Personalised Embossing). Standard Embossing allows you to use up to two lines of text on your album cover. You can choose from one of our new 4 stylish fonts - Ivy, Seasons, Savoy and Brittany.
Brittany - the top line will be in Brittany font (48pt font) and the bottom line will be in be in an Verdana font (16pt font with 80 character spacing).
The top line will be larger than the bottom line and will always appear in upper case letters.
Maximum of 20 characters per line (which include spaces).
Ivy - the top line will be a larger font size than the bottom line. Top line will be 36pt with a 40 character spacing. Bottom line with be 20pt with a 50 character space.
Maximum of 20 characters per line (which include spaces).
Seasons - the top line will be a larger font size than the bottom line. Top line will be 38pt with a 20 character spacing. Bottom line with be 22pt with a 30 character space.
Maximum of 20 characters per line (which include spaces).
Savoy - the top line will be a font size larger than the bottom line. Top line will be 54pt with a 20 character spacing. Bottom line with be 35pt with a 20 character space.
Maximum of 25 characters (which include spaces).
When you order online 2 text lines will appear for you to fill in with your customers embossing information. You can use both lines, or only one - either the top or the bottom. If you use one line only it will appear in the font size applicable to that line. The text will appear on your album cover as you have typed it on the order form – whether it be a mix of upper and lower case, all upper case or all lower case (apart from Brittany which will always be upper and lower case top line and upper case bottom line). For example the following names and dates may appear in a variety of ways such as:
Harper & Oliver Harper and Oliver HARPER + OLIVER HARPER & OLIVER

As you can see there are many ways to display the names and dates - when ordering online please make sure to type it in the format you would like it to appear in.

EMBOSSING POSITION
You can have your album cover embossed in the following positions. All embossing is placed on the actual cover boards, excluding the hinge and spine of the album cover.
OPTICAL CENTRE – Your text will be embossed slightly above centre (this is the most popular option).
DEAD CENTRE – Your text will be embossed directly in the centre of the cover. (Optically this can make it appear like your text is below centre and that is why Optical Centre is the most popular choice).
BOTTOM CENTRE – Your text will be embossed bottom centre on the cover.
BOTTOM RIGHT HAND CORNER – Your text will be embossed on the bottom right hand corner on the cover.

EMBOSSING FOILS
You can emboss your album cover, or many of our other products, in the following foil colours – Gold, Rose Gold, Silver, Copper, Light Blue, Light Green, Dusty Pink, Hot Pink, Red, Rainbow, Silver Hologram, Electric Blue, Turquoise, Gunmetal, Black and White.
We also offer Blind embossing where no foil is used, and you will see the indentation of the embossing only. Blind embossing works best on Premium and Classic Leathers as the material is thick, yet soft, so the embossing die can make a good impression into the leather.
VELVET - You can only emboss on Velvet material with Gold, Rose Gold, Silver, Red and Black foils, or blind embossing. Please note that the foil embossing on Velvet is more delicate and should be handled with care. Please do not rub your hands over the foil or the foil could flake.
Make sure to order a set of Foil Swatches so you can easily see what the different foils will look like on different materials.

LINEN *** Our Linen range includes Linens with a small, tight weave and also Linens with larger, coarse weave which do not emboss well. The Linens that do not emboss well include Natural Blend & Oatmeal.
